What is this white stuff?

Today Cary and I went on a hike up  hwy 2 in the Angeles mountains.  We finally hit snow around 5500 feet.   We parked in between charlton flats and chilao, about 27 miles in on the 2.  We started hiking on a dirt road that was blanketed with snow.  About an hour in we branched off the road onto some small trails.  It was absolutely breath taking.  There was no one around and the snow was coming down at a good pace.  I would say there was about 4 inches of snow covering the ground.  It was a great escape from the city that was only 45 minutes away.  Pictures will be posted shortly.
Peace

That is so cooooooool (literally and figuratively) - I was wondering how the winter hike went. Breathtaking is a good word. Next time I'll join you!
